Screening
Meaning -
Screening comes after sourcing. Once you source a CV i.e. once you find a CV, you go through every details and even talk to the concerned person. This refining and filtering of your sourced candidate is SCREENING.

Need - Screening helps in getting the right fit.

Usage -

  • It is used when you get a universe search on the RightMatch ATS and you have to find a set and subset of it.
  • It is used to understand the CV in detail.
  • A good recruiter always has to take care of good screening of candidates to satisfy the clients requirement.

How To Read A CV
Meaning -
CV Reading is one of the most important step to recruit a candidate. It includes different ways and different points to be understood when we go through a CV.

Need -
For a proper evaluation of the candidates, it is very important to know how to read the CV and understand the LOOP HOLES and related questions to be asked to the candidates.

Usage - Some of the tips to read a CV are mentioned below:

    1. All information required like:
      • Name & Contact details.
      • Address (Location).
      • Current Work profile.
      • Previous work experience.
      • Total years of experience. (Sum of all his employment exp.)
      • Education qualification.
      • Other courses.
      • Current Cost to Company (CTC).
      • Date of Birth (Age).
      • Achievements.
      • Stability.

 

    1. Check whether the candidate is a straight candidate - i.e. No gaps in between the CV.
      • It includes, completing graduation at 20 \ 21 years of age.
      • Is there any gap between two companies where the candidate has worked?
      • Is he stable in his career? Has he jumped from one company to the other frequently?

 

    1. Does the CV Mirror the Ideal Candidate??
      • I.e. For Example - ? If you’re looking for a graphics oriented advertising person, does the CV reflect a creative and imaginative approach?

 

    1. Be cautious of the functional CV.
      • These usually have no dates, only descriptions and experiences. They may mask excessive job-hopping, gaps in employment, and progression (or lack of) in positions. Dig deep for the facts, dates and specifics.

 

    1. Beware of puffery!!!
      • Many CV contain qualifiers like “knowledge of...”, “assisted with...”, “had exposure to...” which should not be confused with hands-on experience. Watch out for CV filled with trivia placed there to lengthen them.

Call Pitch

Meaning -
Call Pitch means the pitch and the discussion between you and the candidate

Need -

  • A proper call pitch helps to talk to candidates fluently
  • It helps to explain the job in brief
  • It helps to converse with the candidate
  • It is not just tele calling. It should include conversation with candidates
